In one line
The FOXESS 5kW 27.84kWh 3 Phase battery system: a 5 kW hybrid inverter paired with 27.84 kWh of storage, supplied and installed as one package.
Who this suits
Three-phase property, smaller array.
Before you choose on size
Federal battery certificates are tiered — weighted toward the first 14 kWh of usable capacity, tapering from 14 to 28 kWh, and small above that. A larger battery does not attract a proportionally larger discount. Choose capacity on your evening and overnight usage and whether you want extended backup, not on the rebate.

What is in the FOXESS 5kW 27.84kWh 3 Phase battery system

A complete three-phase energy system: the FOXESS H3-5.0-Smart hybrid inverter with a 27.84 kWh CQ7 high-voltage battery stack — one master unit plus three modules at 6.96 kWh each, all usable.
The three-phase version suits properties already on a three-phase supply. Victorian networks generally allow more export from a three-phase connection than a single-phase one, and a three-phase inverter spreads its output across all three phases, so it usually gets more energy away than a single-phase unit on the same supply. The included three-phase smart meter comes with six CTs: three measure import and export at the grid connection, and three can monitor an existing solar inverter if the system is AC-coupled.
The 5 kW inverter accepts up to 11 kW of panels (220% of its rating) across three MPPT inputs, and its backup (EPS) output keeps nominated circuits running from the battery during an outage. The system installs as new solar or AC-couples onto an existing array.
