Build your system

Four questions. One system that fits.

Build your system in four questions: no jargon, and nothing to work out yourself. Tell us about your property and your power bill, and we will show you a system that suits it — with a price attached, and a smaller and larger option beside it so you can see the trade-off.

The four questions

Why Build your system asks four questions

If you already know the size you want, you can skip the estimate and pick your battery capacity and inverter size directly.

Question 1

Do you already have solar?

It decides whether you are adding a battery to an existing system or installing both together. Both are normal.

Question 2

Single or three phase?

It is a hard compatibility limit — a three-phase inverter can’t go on a single-phase supply. Almost nobody knows this about their own house, which is why “not sure” is a real answer here. We confirm it on site.

Question 3

Roughly what is your quarterly bill?

It is the best available guide to how much you use, and therefore how much storage is worth having. A rough figure is fine.

Question 4

Do you want backup power?

Backup changes which equipment suits you and how your switchboard needs to be arranged.

Pricing

About the price you will see

The figure shown with each system is indicative — it is not a quote.

Your final price depends on your property, your roof and switchboard, the equipment chosen and which programs you qualify for. Your recommended system size will also depend on your electricity usage, roof space, shading, future needs and your network’s connection requirements. The final system size and export settings are confirmed after a site and network assessment.

Rebates are subject to eligibility and program requirements (Solar Victoria publishes the solar rebate rules). The rebate is not determined by the package band. Any rebate amount shown is indicative only and is confirmed through the relevant government program and authorised retailer process. You receive a written quote after an assessment.

Talk to a person

Rather talk it through with someone?

Every property is a little different. If your roof, switchboard or usage is unusual, a short conversation will get you further than any set of questions.
