Before you choose on size
Federal battery certificates are tiered — weighted toward the first 14 kWh of usable capacity, tapering from 14 to 28 kWh, and small above that. A larger battery does not attract a proportionally larger discount. Choose capacity on your evening and overnight usage and whether you want extended backup, not on the rebate.

What is in the GoodWe 9.99kW 16kWh 1 Phase battery system
The GoodWe ESA all-in-one on single-phase supply with two high-voltage battery modules — 16 kWh of usable storage.
The ESA integrates the inverter, the meter, the backup changeover switch and the battery base into one wall-mounted unit, so the install is a single tidy product rather than an inverter plus several separate enclosures.
16 kWh is a sensible starting battery for a household that wants to cover the evening peak and the overnight base load without over-investing. The unit is grid forming, so during an outage it can establish and hold its own supply rather than disconnecting with the network.
Four MPPT trackers and 200% DC oversizing accept up to 19.98 kW of panels. Panels, mounting and installation are quoted separately after a site assessment. Indicative values are not a quote.
