Before you choose on size
Federal battery certificates are tiered — weighted toward the first 14 kWh of usable capacity, tapering from 14 to 28 kWh, and small above that. A larger battery does not attract a proportionally larger discount. Choose capacity on your evening and overnight usage and whether you want extended backup, not on the rebate.

What is in the GoodWe 9.99kW 48kWh 1 Phase battery system
The GoodWe ESA all-in-one on single-phase supply with six high-voltage battery modules — 48 kWh of usable storage, the largest battery in our range.
48 kWh is well beyond what a typical household needs for overnight cover. It makes sense where a property must stay running through multi-day outages, where the site is at the end of a weak rural line, or where nearly all energy use has been electrified.
The ESA integrates the inverter, meter, backup changeover switch and battery base into one wall-mounted unit, and it is grid forming — during an outage it establishes and holds its own supply.
Four MPPT trackers and 200% DC oversizing accept up to 19.98 kW of panels. A six-module stack weighs around 475 kg, so wall structure, position and clearances are assessed on site before anything is confirmed. Panels, mounting and installation are quoted separately.
