Before you choose on size
Federal battery certificates are tiered — weighted toward the first 14 kWh of usable capacity, tapering from 14 to 28 kWh, and small above that. A larger battery does not attract a proportionally larger discount. Choose capacity on your evening and overnight usage and whether you want extended backup, not on the rebate.

What is in the GoodWe 9.99kW 40kWh 3 Phase battery system
The three-phase GoodWe ESA all-in-one with five high-voltage battery modules — 40 kWh of usable storage.
A resilience-first three-phase system for properties where outages are frequent or long, and for homes running almost entirely on electricity across three phases.
The ESA integrates the inverter, meter, backup changeover switch and battery base into one wall-mounted unit, and it is grid forming — during an outage it establishes and holds its own supply rather than shutting down with the network.
Four MPPT trackers and 200% DC oversizing accept up to 19.98 kW of panels. A five-module stack weighs close to 400 kg, so wall structure, position and clearances are checked at the site assessment. Panels, mounting and installation are quoted separately. Indicative values are not a quote.
