For business

Commercial solar and battery storage

Three-phase systems, tenancy metering and commercial-scale storage — quoted against your actual load profile rather than a package picked off a list.

Load profiles

Why commercial is quoted differently

A home has a fairly predictable shape to its energy use: low during the day, high in the evening. A business doesn’t. A workshop, a warehouse and an office on the same street will have completely different load profiles, and the right system for each is different as a result.

So we don’t publish commercial packages or prices. We look at your interval data, your tariff, your roof or ground space and your network connection, and design from there.

Capabilities

What we work on

Three-phase solar and battery

Our current range runs to 15 kW inverters and 48 kWh of storage, which suits small commercial sites, multi-tenancy buildings and larger three-phase properties. Above that we design to the site.

Tenancy metering

Where a building has multiple tenancies, how generation is allocated and billed matters as much as the system itself.

Load-matched storage

Storage is sized against when you actually draw power, not against roof area. For many businesses the demand charge matters more than the energy charge, and that changes the design.

Certificates

What a business can claim

Commercial installations are generally supported through small-scale technology certificates rather than the residential Solar Homes rebate, which is limited to owner-occupied homes. Which certificates apply, and what they are worth, depends on system size and the certificate market at the time.

Victorian Energy Upgrades also covers a range of commercial activities including lighting, refrigeration and heating and cooling.

We confirm what applies to your site in writing before you commit to anything. Any figure discussed beforehand is indicative.

Start with a conversation

Commercial work doesn’t suit an online configurator — there are too many variables that only show up when someone looks at the site and the data.

Send us twelve months of bills, or your interval data if you have it, and we’ll tell you honestly whether there’s a case worth pursuing.
